Wait what? The core of FAF is unmaintained?
Yes.
- Who is going to review and merge all the open PRs?
- Who is going to fix bugs?
- Who is going to update dependencies?
Nobody.
Unless someone is willing to step up. It could be you!
What do we expect from a maintainer?
- You have decent experience in Python asyncio stuff
- You have a few hours per week to spare
- You are ready to pull aside your own desired features and work on other peoples topics for the greater good
- You want to work onto a bigger picture in the FAF architecture
- You are willing to hang around with the (remaining) cool kids in Zulip
- <full tranpsarency>You can live with the fact that parts of our userbase are pretty ungrateful and hostile towards developers</full transparency>
