Very impressed with your creation. Been looking for a dogtracker for sometime but have hit all the same issues you mention.
I think theres definately a commercial market out there, id buy several straight away.
I would consider trying to order and assemble it myself but
On a separate not, the JCLPCB website appears to have changed so some of the ordering details differ, would be a great help to update that page.
And mouser.com seems to have issues around GRM188R61A106KAALD - not available and very limited availability
Also, id love to see some detail around the actual construction from pcb delivery to component mounting to software upload etc.
If you are in the middle of upgrading the project id love to see the progress.
