Is there support for shell profile aliases while in taskshell?

I use zsh and have an alias setup for "but" that **b**ack**u**ps **t**asks, and I would like to be able to invoke from right within taskshell with `!but`, but tasksh doesn't seem to be aware of my shell aliases. Is this a limitation of the current code, or is there just some configuration I'm missing?
