gravityview's sort_field sort_direction specification not working

Here is my gravityview definition:

[gravityview id="1..3" show_only_approved="0" no_entries_form="117" user_edit="1" user_delete="1" user_duplicate="1" sort_field="date_created" sort_direction="DESC" secret="d0...a9"]

The sort_field="date_created" is what drop down provided.

However, the sort_direction="DESC" is not working as my expected:

As you can see that the sort_direction is not DESC.

What I'm missing please?

@suntong, you mentioned date_created, but your screenshot is showing date_updated, which is a different entry meta.

Ah, yeah, that's my oversight. But still,

date_created = date_updated for most my listed entries, and we can see that date_created is not sorted DESC either. Why?

UPDATE:

I've tried all combination of,

• sort_field="date_created" sort_direction="DESC"
• sort_field="date_updated" sort_direction="DESC"
• sort_direction="DESC" only
• Neither sort_field nor sort_direction

But none of them are working as the page control.

NB, The view itself works as expected:
