Segmentation at dicom-microscopy-viewer in OHIF #166

Hi Team,
Thank you for the great work and make it available for everyone. I can observe that 'dicom-microscopy-viewer' is the underlined viewer for microscopy images for Slim and OHIF viewer. This is awesome.
Recently, OHIF releases 3.9 with the enhancement, especially in segmentation. That's how I started to take a look, the chance for segmentation on the whole slide images (microscopy) as well. I thought it may require a lot of work, almost from the scratch, but I found that 'dicom-microscopy-viewer' has supported segmentation for long time (3 years) and it has been enabled in Slim viewer. There might be a chance to enable segmentation at dicom-microscopy-viewer in OHIF as well without significant work.
Although your thought on OHIF/Slim are separated for Radiology/Pathology images, can you give me a hint or any potential obstacle to enable segmentation for microscopy images in OHIF? Or any relevant parts which I can take a look in Slim repository?
I am looking forward to your advice or insight.
I am also open for initiating the project (find funding, create the team (me from CCIBonn, some people from OHIF and you).
