Risks of using --enable-buggy-ifs

I have HBA controller that requires the --enable-buggy-ifs to be used in order for LTFS to work.

Looking at: https://github.com/LinearTapeFileSystem/ltfs/wiki/HBA-info this disables "transfer length of SCSI data by default". Does disabling this feature have any potential negative effects on data integrity or increase the risk of them occurring?

Of course, the risk is increased than when this feature is enabled. So, this is the optional configuration at build.

I never recommend that you use such HBA and also I strongly recommend that you use another HBA which returns collect transfer length in the SCSI layer if you want to take care about such kind of negative effects.
