feature: comment rendering with comment text but without comment syntax #574

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Currently, we have three options for rendering html-comments (<!-- comment -->):
- completely conceal them (= the default setting)
- replace them with some text/icon via
html.comment.text - not render them at all
There is no middle ground, like concealing HTML syntax while still displaying the comment content.
Describe the solution you'd like
Add another option to display the comment content while concealing the comment syntax. Essentially, turn <!-- comment --> into comment.
