Feature request: Option to disable headline formatting

A variable to disable the application of <h2> and <h3> in the timeline text, or to change the top heading level, would come in handy. I am embedding timelines in a webpage and the built-in formatting is interfering with the semantic structure of the page sections, not to mention it is showing up in the script-generated Table of Contents.

(I understand active development has stopped, but if anyone is keen to help me implement this change, as I am not a developer and not very experienced with JavaScript, that would be great)

This would be complicated, to say the least.

Maybe using <aside> for the timeline container element is appropriate to semantically indicate that H# tags within shouldn't be considered for the table of contents. I don't know if your TOC javascript is changeable, but if so, directing it to disregard H# tags under the aside (or under .tl-timeline more generally) might solve that issue.
