Cross compilation for arm64 and x64 issue.

Hello my name is Julien, and i would love to experiment with rust-cuda and possibly be more involve if possible in a very close future,

• First the current draw issue (for long developing time)... for that, i got two hardware:
  • a classic 5060 GTX and a JetSonOrin -> (60watt idle)/(7watts idle) respectively,
    to start learning Cuda the docker image sim a good solution the caveat is the docker image need gpu driver which make sens
    if we intend to compile for the host machine.
• So my question is: can i and possibly how,i could use a neutral low power x86 linux computer with just an amd integrated gpu to cross compile for target pc-windows x86_64-pc-windows-msvc and aarch64-unknown-linux-gnu ?
  the ideal would be to build a custom docker image without possibly the part that involve the gpu driver ? so any help to get started would be amazing !

• i have invested a lot (at my level) and cannot go backward on more modern hardware for now so being able to cross compile would help me a lot.
• i just need a quick insight about:
  Why GPU cuda capability are required for the docker image to compile PTX ?
  I mean which components are responsible for that ?
  is there a technical restriction that involve the host to cannot cross compile (likely not)
• then i could go on my own to build my proper docker image and bother you with my exotic setup.

• 2024 1 year learn rust
• 2025 spend the year to learn about linear algebra matrix transformation build some rust project on Minifb.
• My objective for 2026 learn NVIDIA cuda with RUST and learn shader programing.
