I propose enhancing the timelydiff function by improving error handling for invalid input and adding a date format customization option. This will make the function more robust and user-friendly. Users will benefit from clearer error messages and the ability to tailor the date format to their preferences. I've already implemented these changes on a separate branch ('enhance-timelydiff') and also created a pull request. Let's collaborate to make this function even better!
