Navigating between multiple pages

I saw last release (8.0.0) said:
"However, when you navigate between multiple pages the animation is different now (it cycles through the pages instead of just swiping like it's the next one)."

I was hoping it would mean that navigating between multiple pages at once, would indeed make it look like it was just the next one, instead of iterating through every "in between" screens.

This is what facebook app does for example, if you tap from first materialtoptab to the last, it will look like the last was the next, without the ugly feeling of going through each screen in between.

Did I misunderstand?
Is there a way to do that?

For me, it doesn't make sense to change the animation to go through all the pages in between. This was the primary reason I used the library. If that is the case now, it means I can achieve absolutely the same result using FlashList...

Yes exactly, I really don't understand this change.
It just feels so overwhelming / ugly to have to go through all tabs passing by.
