would it possible for you to extend this example to cater user uniqueness based on realm and email combination from the extended model?

Oh sorry I thought it was an independent repo. An example for auth demo. What I had in mind is an example of partitioning users with realms. Here is the related document. https://loopback.io/doc/en/lb3/Partitioning-users-with-realms.html

I can't seem to make it work from a model that extends from User similar to your appuser https://github.com/cfjedimaster/StrongLoopDemos/blob/master/simpleauthdemo/common/models/appuser.json

Ah... so would you mind posting this on the blog post itself? I'd like to keep this repo as a place for folks to download the sample code and report bugs, but for general questions, it should be posted with the blog post itself.

Best I can suggest is that if you are following the docs, and it doesn't work, file a bug. A few months ago I found another bug when I extended User, so it may be related.
