Custom tags (Microsoft Visio) do not appear in Internet Explorer less than 9 #196

In Internet Explorer versions less than 9, custom SVG tags from Microsoft Visio files saved as SVG do not appear. Specifically, text elements are not displayed. They do, however, display without any difficulty in all other browsers.
