Unable to deploy without initializer in kubernetes 1.18+

Hello , @danisla

i am trying to install tproxy without initializer in k8s version 1.18 , when i see the PODs created by the daemonset , the pods are crashlooping with the below error ,

E0218 10:31:07.310347 1 reflector.go:199] tproxy-podwatch/main.go:117: Failed to list *v1.Pod: pods is forbidden: User "system:serviceaccount:tproxy:default" cannot list resource "pods" in API group "" in the namespace "tproxy"

when i run kubectl auth , it says no permission

$ kubectl auth can-i list pods --as=system:serviceaccount:tproxy:default -n tproxy
no

could you please help me deploying the tproxy ,
