Guide through event bus

Event handling and event publishing with event bus and abstractions really hard topic. Is there any docs about that where I can discover the topic better, I can use it, for sure without to much thinking just to repeat pattern, but I would like to understand it completely.

And IntegrationEventLog etc, I completely do not understand what is going on over there, why it need DbContext, what it does, where it stores events etc.
