This happens in the post-processing step of the graph traversal, and should not be possible.

A repository that reproduces this is available (but won't be posted here for privacy reasons). This should be fixed with priority.

It seems like this is fixed in Nightly now, but it's also something that changed between yesterday and today, strangely enough.

My feeling is that this could be related to auto-reconciliation, and I will investigate this.
Also, the initial error should definitely not occur, or at least its message is confusing.
