[BUG] listenForInterfaceOrientationChanges not firing

listenForInterfaceOrientationChanges does not seem to work. It does not fire, although listenForDeviceOrientationChanges does.

Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Launch the android emulator (mine is Android api 35, pixel 7a
Rotate the emulator. listenForDeviceOrientationChanges fires. Click on the little rotate button that appeared that allows to rotate the interface. listenForInterfaceOrientationChanges does not fire.

I've tried to reproduce your issue, but in my emulator I do not see the "little rotate button".

Can you please share a screenshot or video?
Did you also try with the example app?

I cannot build the example, which as far as I know doesn't use the function anyway:

I cannot build the example:

I managed to reproduce it and I'll start to work on a proper fix for it.

To run the example app, you need to:

1. clone the repository;
2. run yarn install;
3. run yarn example start;
4. then you can open android studio and build the app;

You don't need anything else, It's strange that it is telling you to launch the bob command from the react-native-builder-bob library. I may need to look into it later

I've open a new pull request that fixes this bug.

Below you can find a video that shows the new android behaviour in both API <= 35 and API >= 35.
