Sounds like a great idea to support AirReps too!
I don't have much time to make big changes in the app; I'd do it myself if it were as simple as using AACP commands, but over SPP. I'd really appreciate PRs if not. (I'm busy with preparing for entrance exams for the next few months.) |

The good quality 1:1 AirPods clones, usually referred to as AirReps (Air Replicas) should also work with the standard L2CAP protocol, but can also be controlled via Serial Port Profile and even have some extra features like multiple ANC modes, equalizer, firmware information, etc.
There's currently no default and open source app for those, they all use proprietary manufacturer (Airoha, Bluetrum, etc) software which is a pain in the ass to use and does not connect automatically.
Would you be interested in having specific support for those via SSP (I can contribute with PRs), or you want to keep this exclusively and purely for original AirPods only?
Edit: One advantage of adding SPP support is that the app would work without root, and many people will be interested in using it!
