WinAppDriver project

I see this project shows up when searched through https://opensource.microsoft.com/projects/explore/ page.

But it doesn't show in the promoted open source projects. Not that it should though. Is it because the source code is not released as open source even though there is a github repo for the project? Or is it because that was just a pet project and has been abandoned/discontinued?

In any case, hoping this can be a channel/path to route inquiry within Microsoft to appropriate personnel so that we can get some official PR response for any update on WinAppDriver? The github repo project seems dead and source code is not open. Releasing the code as open source or at least some official acknowledgement on whether MS is officially deprecating/abandoning the project would be appreciated. Or ideal if MS revives/continues the project otherwise. microsoft/WinAppDriver#1550.

I would understand that this issue might be closed as irrelevant under this github repo's main goals. But with the aspect that WinAppDriver is on github and somewhat open source, I hope that at least some "eyes" within look at this and gives the public some official response. It seems hard to contact Microsoft with respect to Open Source initiatives, at least for WinAppDriver.
