Release version 10

Hi,

The rc2 release has a tight binding with the reference of rc -2 release of efcore 10.
And hence not letting it getting installed with efcore 10.

Can this be resolved in the nuget, as it will restrict existing applications from upgrading to efcore 10.

Seeing the same issue. It's preventing me from fully migrating to .NET 10 from the RC version

yes this is due to the hard rc2 constraint on EF Core: https://www.nuget.org/packages/Npgsql.EntityFrameworkCore.PostgreSQL/10.0.0-rc.2#dependencies-body-tab

If anyone was wondering, you can run the RC2 with .NET 10 EF, it'll complain about versioning (which you can ignore) but from my tests, it's pretty compatible.

Just set the version manually in your CSPROJ or Directory.Packages.props
<PackageVersion Include="Npgsql.EntityFrameworkCore.PostgreSQL" Version="10.0.0-rc.2" />

Probably not a good idea for production but should hold you over till it gets updated.

">= 10.0.0-rc.2.25502.107" could help. Its made fixed in the version with "= 10.0.0-rc.2.25502.107"

My project also has EF Core SqlServer, so there has conflict!

@roji Do you know what is causing the inability to release the .NET 10 package? Or when can we get the latest package?

For now you can use these package versions to temporarily fix .Net 10 conflicts. This allowed me to move forward and successfully migrate from .Net 9 to .Net 10:

Use:

With these dependencies:

All other non-EFCore dependencies of your .Net 10 project can safely depend on proper .Net 10 supported versions.

At best I think this can only be considered a hack. Although, technically, there's probably no significant difference between 10.0.0 RC2 and 10.0.0 RTM. But I'd personally not release anything to production until NPGSQL supported .NET 10 RTM.
