This packaging has no way to verify the signatures yourself:

Usage of this packaging is much larger than I think many people realize because if you're on Ubuntu or a distro that natively supports Snaps it is very clean and easy to install.
Curious for people's thoughts and discussion of tradeoffs.
If we believe we can trust the current Snap you can use "snap refresh --hold bitcoin-core" command to turn off automatic update, which seem to be the biggest concern with Snaps after signature verification.
