Tutorial for Laser Cut
How to use the laser cutters in Fabliving to built your piece. This operating mode allow you to use the software lasercut properly.
So the first step it’s to download your piece that you made on Onshape :
Save your document in DXF format.
Once you saved your document. Open the software lasercut
This is the software interface :
Now you must import your document previously saved. So go on “Fichier” and “Import”
And you choose the document in format .DXF:
You get your piece
This step is optional but you can check the dimensions of your piece by clicking on scale options:
Then you must check the data, go on “ Outils” and “ Vérifier les données”
You must check “Vérifier chevauche”
And you have to found 0 mistakes, if not make the next steps “ Ligne seule” and try again
Once you made the last step, you can see few arrows on the black line :
That means the laser will make one cut for one segment. To avoid this make an “Ctrl” + “a” to select the whole piece :
Once you select your piece go on “Outils” and “ligne seule”:
This window appears : Say ok
Now you can see only arrow that means one cut :
If you found mistakes in last steps, check again it should be ok now.
Tip : If you want to cut two similar piece you can copy your piece. You can copy as many times as you want, but don’t forget space between each copy.
The next step is to adjust the cutting parameters. Double click on the right top to open the cutting parameters.
Then you can adjust the cutting parameters according to the recommendations. Then you have to save under your document. Go on “Fichier” and “Sauvegarder sous”
Choice a good name for your document and save
Now you have to calibrate the lasercut TITAN. See the operating mode : Using lasercut TITAN
After calibrate TITAN, come back to the software laser cut, go to the "Laser" tab. Select “Selection relative” and choice the area of the starting point according to TITAN ( you have to see the laser position compared to the chopping piece )
Now you can go on “Demarrer”
This new window appears :
Delete the last document in the laser cut TITAN, click on “Effacer tout”:
And click on “Envoie travail en cours” to send your new document
Wait few seconds and as you can see in the next screenshot your document is on TITAN laser cut :
Now you go on TITAN laser cut and start to cut. ( See operating mode Using laser cut TITAN ).
