Customizing the Desktop UI

GhostTypes edited this page Dec 30, 2025 · 2 revisions

The desktop UI can be fully customized to suite your needs, including:

  • Removing unused/unneeded components
  • Resizing any component
  • Pinning components as customized shortcuts (instead of being placed in the 'grid')

All customizations are saved per-printer, allowing you to build a customized layout for each printer you have if desired.
On first connect, a default layout will load (and save) for the printer.

Entering edit mode

Press CTRL+E to enter / exit edit mode at any time image

  • Grab the component and drag it where you'd like it
  • Grab the blue handle to resize components
  • Press the X at the top right to remove components from the grid

Pinning a shortcut

  • Components not placed on the grid become available to pin to the menu bar, allowing up to 3 customized shortcuts
  • Components that are pinned will not be available to place on the grid

In this example, these components have been pinned as shortcuts, and can't be placed on the grid, indicated by the pinned status
