Summary of Changes

Hello @brettchabot, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request focuses on updating the version of the monitor component within the project. It ensures that both the internal version definition and the Gradle dependency catalog reflect the latest 1.9.0-alpha02 release, maintaining consistency and incorporating the most recent alpha build of the monitor library.

Highlights

  • Monitor Version Update: The MONITOR_VERSION constant in build_extensions/axt_versions.bzl has been updated from 1.9.0-alpha01 to 1.9.0-alpha02.
  • Gradle Dependency Update: The monitor library dependency in gradle-tests/settings.gradle has been updated to reference version 1.9.0-alpha02.

Code Review

This pull request updates the monitor artifact version to 1.9.0-alpha02. While the version is correctly updated in axt_versions.bzl and propagated to gradle-tests/settings.gradle, a corresponding update for the Bazel build configuration (//:axt_m2_repository) appears to be missing. This could lead to build inconsistencies.

RUNNER_VERSION = "1.8.0-alpha01"
RULES_VERSION = "1.8.0-alpha01"
MONITOR_VERSION = "1.9.0-alpha01"
MONITOR_VERSION = "1.9.0-alpha02"

high

This version bump appears to be incompletely propagated. The release script tools/release/validate_and_propagate_versions.sh is intended to update //:axt_m2_repository for Bazel builds, but the corresponding changes are not included in this pull request. This omission could cause Bazel to use an outdated version of the monitor dependency, creating a discrepancy between Gradle and Bazel builds. To resolve this, please run the full propagation script and commit all resulting file changes.
