i think this patch modifies the wrong file(s). the patch should be a one-line change to Dockerfile.template and then the CICD scripts will automatically update all of the other Dockerfiles when it runs the daily build. (you can run update.sh manually for local testing.)

@Aazme - I think this will probably now fall under https://github.com/cloudnative-pg/postgres-extensions-containers - I haven't verified for sure that the new pg18 feature applies to logical decoding plugins but I think it might

Yes, my advice is to look at the way pgvector is done in https://github.com/cloudnative-pg/postgres-extensions-containers. Already a contributor proposed a patch for pgaudit and it has been merged. There is a simple process to follow (open an issue and then a PR).
