In the beginning of the book, there's a lot of different moments where the book mentioned how Noemi's dad runs a paint business and she's really good at identifying paint colors and chemicals. I was like, "Ooh, this sounds cool and I bet it's going to contribute to the twist at the end!" Nope. It didn't have anything to do with anything.
