This extension checks for available Updates of phpBB and Extensions. Administrators are notified about available updates.

Checks are run daily, notifications can be received using any available notification method, including emails, jabber, the regular board notification system, or any other installed notification methods.

Only administrators able to manage extensions or allowed to check for phpBB Updates will receive notifications. They can manage their notifications (enable/disable emails, ...) individually in the UCP (Board preferences -> Edit notification options).

This extension uses phpBBs version check mechanism. Therefore, it will find the same outdated extensions as a manual check in the ACP extension page.

This is the first official release of the extension. This version is for phpBB 3.1.x only. It does not work with phpBB 3.2.x or above.
