Could you either move the merge requests to gitlab or push to a branch there?

How about using gradle 6.4.1? Then we could add dependency verification. And 6.4.1 should hopefully be packaged for Debian soon, so reproducible builds and all. |

This is needed for building with the latest Android Studio... Code in netcipher is needed to resolve this Orbot issue guardianproject/orbot-android#540
