Description

Adding a reference to the official Snyk MCP Server. Enhance security posture by embedding Snyk vulnerability scanning directly into agentic workflows.

Server Details

  • Server: snyk
  • Changes to: new server

Motivation and Context

Allows developers to add vulnerability scanning with Snyk in their agentic workflows.

How Has This Been Tested?

Verified the README renders correctly, and outbound links are validated. The MCP server itself has been tested in various workflows including Cline, Github CoPilot, Qodo, and more. The tools are invoked as expected to enable testing for vulnerabilities, verifying auth, Snyk CLI versions and others as detailed in the docs:

  • snyk_sca_test (Open Source scans)
  • snyk_code_test (Code scans)
  • snyk_auth (authentication)
  • snyk_logout (logout)
  • snyk_auth_status (authentication status check)
  • snyk_version (version information)

Breaking Changes

None. This change does not impact existing functionality or user configurations. It simply adds a new server reference to the README.md list.

Types of changes

  • Bug fix (non-breaking change which fixes an issue)
  • New feature (non-breaking change which adds functionality)
  • Breaking change (fix or feature that would cause existing functionality to change)
  • Documentation update

Checklist

  • I have read the MCP Protocol Documentation
  • My changes follows MCP security best practices
  • I have updated the server's README accordingly
  • I have tested this with an LLM client
  • My code follows the repository's style guidelines
