Let's make a new event kind for this kind of weird stuff instead of stuffing everything into kind:0. |
Should we deprecate this entire thing, then? |
This entire NIP was just an attempt to document bad practices seen in the wild, right? I guess some small things can still fit but it's not a good idea to put a lot of stuff in kind:0 given that it is so often downloaded by clients that often only want to display the user name. |
Basically, yes. It's where all the shit goes.
What's the definition of small? Is lightning addresses supposed to be here? Fun fact, there is no NIP that say where the LUD16 is supposed to go. |
This whole generic json in kind 0 was a mistake, but nobody has the balls to fix it |
Yes, the JSON was a mistake. No, |
Are we going to fix this shit or just keep complaining? |
Fixing is too hard, probably impossible (I'm ok with trying, @pablof7z started doing profile on tags once, I think you also do that?). But we can at least stop making mistakes. |
It's not too hard. We just need to pick a direction and go. Systems will follow. |
Yes, Amethyst has been saving as tags for over 6 months now. |
The background music users listen to during their visit to a user's profile.
