This Pull Requests is intended to apply GitHub's mechanism for multiple licenses. It therefore moves all LICENSE files to the repository root and fixes their representation, if required. This concerns LICENSE-CC-BY which is copied from the following repository due to having had a similar format needed to be fixed.

Druskat, S., Spaaks, J. H., Chue Hong, N., Haines, R., Baker, J., Bliven, S., Willighagen, E., Pérez-Suárez, D., & Konovalov, A. (2021). Citation File Format (Version 1.2.0) [Computer software]. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.5171937

The CFF main repository had a similar format of its CC-BY-4.0 license which needed to be fixed. Hence, I copied the license text when creating LICENSE-CC-BY in the repository root.

Furthermore, I tagged the license explanation in COPYRIGHT as MIT since it rather should be copied with any substantial portions of this repository. I can change this, if required.

Some suggestions for enhancements:

  • tag COPYRIGHT as CC-BY-4.0 since it is for documentation purposes
  • add the CFF main repository to the CITATION.cff as a reference
